EVERYTHING YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT FAX

DO PEOPLE ASK TO NOT GET ANY ?
              One to two percent of recipients ask to be removed from fax lists. We provide multiple removal lines. (If they don’t want faxes, they’re not prospects.)
DO SOME PEOPLE HATE IT ? 
Less than point one percent of those who ask to be removed (1 in 10000) are almost incoherently angry. Many forget to leave their fax number and can’t be removed.
DOES IT WORK ?
YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! The largest error people make is to treat faxing differently from advertising. The method of delivering your message is fine - but you must have a message and a program. You must also be flexible & persistent in finding a message that works.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD YOU DO IT ? 
As often as you can. Usually monthly. You have to develop recognition. Do a 3 month test.
IS SIZE IMPORTANT ?
Suppliers often boast about the size of their list. Technique is more important. Are numbers removed promptly ? Are kid’s modems kept off the list ? Where do the numbers come from ? Do you trust them ?
IS GIVING IMPORTANT ? 
The most effective broadcasts are those that give; either information useful to the reader, or a special offer. If you don’t distinguish yourself (quickly), you won’t get read.
ARE THERE RULES FOR BEHAVIOUR ? 
In Canada, the CRTC sets allowable times for sending, identification and number removal rules. These are summarized in your phone book and available on our fax-on-demand system at (416) 410-6045 Ext. 443. and on this site.   People make mistakes but chronic offenders can have their telephone service discontinued.
WHAT OTHER SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE ?
1. Phone Answer: If you’re sending over 10 or 15 thousand faxes a day, you can avoid the "nasties" & not tie up your phone by using the service bureau’s supplied return number. Most of our clients prefer taking the calls. We normally send only 2500 a day so you don’t get "flooded" and you have time to modify the message (no charge) if feedback indicates that is desirable.

2. Fax-on-Demand: We offer clients a method to automatically offer follow-up information. Enticing the prospect to call in for information begins the sales process at no effort to you.

3. IVR: Automated phone services can take orders, provide information, do surveys, and forward calls.

4. System Sales: Many professionals, such as ourselves, will sell turnkey systems.

5. Integration: Simple Effective Marketing recommends that your marketing and sales support activities be integrated. We work with you to give you a package of services aligned to your ads, your website, your expertise. Our network of associates is also available to clients.

6. Announcements to your list: Your clients & prospects need to hear from you. We do many private lists and even send letters to those who don’t want or can’t receive faxes. You may be contacting small clients once a year with a card. Make them big clients by keeping in touch with monthly company news & specials. A marble & tile dealer once offered, The Rock Watch (Granite case wristwatch), to his contact list just to serve his contacts & emphasize that he sold stone tiles. He had arranged to buy them wholesale & passed the deal along - everyone benefited.

WHAT DOES IT COST?
In general, the more you send, the lower the price per fax. Often you can specify an area. This cuts the size of the list and raises the price. It is normally more economical to just run the whole list. Sometimes industries can be segregated - that’s usually not as targeted as you might think. Purchasing an association or trade list is more accurate. Actual cost for a complete run can be from 1 to 3 cents. We offer discounts for longer term use as we know repeated use is the secret of fax success.
